Vine Cottage is nestled amongst the vines on Toti Hegy. Sarah and Joe purchased the cottage in 2005 and enjoy many family holidays here on Toti Hegy when visiting from the UK. Our very good friends Krisztina and Juan Martin kindly look after the cottage for us and we are delighted to be able to share our cottage so others may enjoy this fabulous location.

Vine Cottage is a family vineyard and the grapes are harvested each September as the thriving community comes together for the harvest season.

Vine cottage is located between Badasconytomaj and Káptalantóti.

From Lake Balaton - turn off the 71 at Badasconytomaj onto Fö Utca, following the road through the village and joining the 7344 towards Káptalantóti. In 2.5km turn right, you will see sign here for Istvándy. Take this track, and keep left at the fork. Follow the track to the turning circle - turn right here going round the turning circle. follow the track and take the left hand fork. about 100m up the track turn left and follow this track up to Vine Cottage.

The last 1 km is unpaved road, but in good condition for a normal car.

We don’t have a gate, the parking spot is in front of the house.

The key for vine cottage is stored in a key safe close to the door.

After parking your car, walk up the steps and you will find the door to enter Vine Cottage next to the upper seating area.

Your code for the key box will be sent in a message to you before your arrival.

Nespresso Coffee machine is available along with English tea and sugar - if you like milk in your coffee or tea, please bring this with you.

We have provided some basic cooking utensils, saucepan etc…

Microwave, kettle and an induction hob available.

The water is NOT drinkable, coming from a tank. For showering and washing up it’s perfect.

For drinking and cooking we recommend mineral water, we will provide some bottles for you on your arrival.

The bed is made up with bedding and we provide towels for you.

Smoking is not permitted in the house, or on the balcony, but we are happy for smoking on the seating area outside, please place your cigarette butts in the ashtray with water.

Pets are not allowed in the cottage.

Please keep any rubbish in the kitchen. Do not place rubbish outside, as the animal will tear the bags open.

If your bin is full just send us a message and we will collect it for you.

For guests staying longer than 7 days we will arrange a time to visit the cottage with a fresh set of linen and towels halfway through your stay.

It is forbidden to make a fire outdoor, except in the barbecue area.  If you have to leave the house, please make sure the fire is put out.

The property is very close to the forest, it is normal to see wild animals wondering at night, such as deer, rabbits etc..

To protect our grapes from the wild animals, we have an electric fence, which turns on every night from 20:00 – 07:00, the fence is very visible and not in your way.
